Kimberly Schneider was born in Chicago, in 1977. As a teen, she was always taking photos, but it wasn't until she started working for a photographer in 1999, that she decided to make photography a career choice. Kimberly graduated from Colorado State University in 2002, with a BFA in Photography and minor in Philosophy.
Kimberly lives and breathes photography, and is a dedicated gelatin silver printer. Her prints have been exhibited at The Camera Obscura Gallery, Viewpoint Gallery, San Diego Art Institute, Scott Nichols Gallery, Art Intersection, and Gallery Revival (In Ireland), among other places. Her work was also part of a digital exhibition at the Louvre in 2015.
Kimberly is represented by ZIA Gallery, in Winnetka, IL – and exhibits there quite regularly; she had had her first solo show with the gallery in 2016.
She currently has work in two different exhibitions: IN Print, which opened yesterday, at Photo Méthode Gallery in Austin, Texas, as well as Light Sensitive, which opens today, at Art Intersection in Gilbert, Arizona.
Outside of galleries, Kimberly’s work can be seen in both online and physical publications, as well as blogs. She also prints for other artists/photographers.
Kimberly received an Rfotofolio Choice Award for the IN Print competition in 2016; she was awarded Honorable Mention via The Moscow International Foto Awards in 2014, as well as an Award of Merit, from the International Fine Art Photography Competition, in 2012.
