Amidol

Does anyone know of a process of purifying Chinese amidol.
I would also like some information on producing amidol.
I would also like some information on producing amidol.
First of all I would like to know what do you mean by "Chinese" amidol.
Do you have any idea of the purity of it? Is it the "free" 2,4-diaminophenol or is it the dihydrochloride salt?
Do you know something about the impurities?
