Here is an interesting article on the resurgence of interest in film, especially among the under 35 crowd. As much as anything this is the reason we need to keep it alive so that we can pass the torch on.

I believe that, it's only a matter of time before those who care about art, and photography, will start choosing film for all of it's lovely character, and nuances. The feeling that comes from taking a properly exposed shot. Not the ETTR kind. Then developing the film, and making analog prints, only helps the photographer feel connected to the final print. Personally, I find that to be a major draw back when I use digital. They may not join us in large numbers, but enough to keep it viable for manufacturers to continue making their products, and invest in developing new products too.

I hope this trend continues. Film could use some fresh perspectives if you ask me. That's what I enjoy the most when I see the works of younger people.
