Eseco Speedmatic Revolving Darkroom Door
I have an Eseco Speedmatic Revolving Darkroom Door that no longer fits my space. I've been holding on to it since I moved to Monmouth, and am ready to let it go for the cost of shipping (free if you pick it up). 83" high x 36" wide the opening is 17" wide. The attached photo was taken...

Congratulations. I have one but I'm on the west coast of the U.S. It would have cost more to ship than to buy.

Re: Revela-T in Barcelona
I'm back from Revela-T. A great festival celebrating analog photography with at least 6 rooms featuring photographers from all over the world, workshops in darkroom, large format, and alternative processes, and a party every evening! And don't forget the paella cooked for 700 people in the park on S...

Speed EZ-L
I have a number of Speed EZ-Ls if any body wants one for shipping cost. Sizes range from 2x3" to 11x14". These are fast and effective for making multiple prints from the same negative. I don't do production work any longer and don't need them.

While I don't have a formula for Acufine, you may wish to try FX 11 found on page 257 of the Darkroom Cookbook, 4th ed.

Re: Rondinax 35 U & 60
This is a new one on me. I use Paterson developing tanks and don't have a clue what a Rodinax tank is or does. It appears by the responses that not many others do, either.
Perhaps you could tell the forum members more about the Rodinax system and the kickstarter campaign for Lab-Box?

Greetings, All. I would like to make you aware of the 5th Annual Revela-T Analog Photography Seminar in Barcelona, Spain, May 19 to 28, http://revela-t.cat/2017/en/home17/. It may well be THE "BEST" ANALOGUE PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD as the sponsors claim. I will be giving a one da...

Re: Beseler 4x5 w/ 3 lens turret
It is a 45 MX. However, I am thinking I might keep this one and give away the 45 MX with a single lens mount, the one I'm currently using. I'm going to set this up in the next day or two and see how I like it before deciding. I'll let you know.

I was born in Moscow, Russia and came to US in 1994 at the age of 16. Received a B.F.A. in Photography from San Jose State University. Worked in the field (anything from one hour lab processing to portrait studios and so on) since 1997. Currently, I run a rental darkroom and educational space in San...

That sounds exciting, Tim. It may, or may not, have been done before. I have said from the first article that appeared in Camera & Darkroom magazine, that the purpose of the DCB was to share techniques that might otherwise be lost, and in this case, if it works, that have been found or discovere...

Not at all. What I am saying is that if you purchase a new copy of the 1st edition of either the Darkroom Cookbook or the Film Developing Cookbook directly from Focal Press I will receive an additional $1.25 on my next royalty check.

I cannot speak for flickr.com or digitaltruth, but in The Film Developing Cookbook, 1st ed., Bill Troop and I write: "There have been hundreds of unauthorized publications of the 'original' Rodinal formula. All of the most authentic ones consist of 100 grams of p-aminophenol hydrochloride and 3...

Wynn Bullock's Carbonate solution
In this case sodium carbonate. You can try using potassium carbonate but it may shift your tones to the warm, depending on the paper you are using. Mono or anhydrous makes no difference as you add the carbonate in increments until you achieve the desired results. I don't have the book in front of me...

I still don't know what prudent sharpening is. But should I ever be faced with such a daunting task I will certainly follow the perfesser's advice.

As far as the difference between HP5 and delta 3200, try making an 11 x 14 (or even better, 16 x 20) enlargement from each negative and let me know the results.

Congratulations on your darkroom. I do have at least 3 Omega D5 columns, 2 in perfect condition and one which can be made perfect if I can find the one missing part buried in a box in my garage. You may have one or three of them! There are all 3 set up to take an Omega colorheads, however, if you ha...

Not to one up you guys ( :) ) but, I learned on an E3 hand line using 3 1/2 gallon tanks. The total time of development from start to finish was one hour and 15 minutes + hanging 20 rolls of film. The purpose of E4 was to shorten development time to 45 minutes making the process more profitable for ...

Halide ions & other byproduct's effect on developer
You are 100% correct that the bromide precipitated into the developing solution does have a restraining effect. The amount of bromide is greater with a 36 exposure roll, or 4 sheets of 4x5, than with a partial roll or 1-2 sheets of 4x5. This is one of the reasons it is important to use more develope...
