D-11 Reversal Process Developer
So there is a lot of discussion on various forums (like Photrio, etc) regarding the dilution of D-11 attributed to David Wood and published on p348 of the Cookbook. The speculation among many is that the dilution ratio of 1:3 was a misprint and should actually be reversed to 3:1 for optimal contrast...

Re: D11 at wrong dilution
This is an update to my previous post. I now love D-11 1:3 with Fomapan R-100 in my Jobo CPE 2 (75rpm) for 11:45 @20c. Nice contrast and density. I use it with the DW 1 bleach and DW 2 clearing bath. I have been using a reversal developer consisting of 220ml water + 40ml Rodinal + 80mg of Stannous C...

Re: Developing C41 in BW chemistry
Kind of reviving this old thread. About a year ago I loaded some 35mm C-41 ISO 800 film in a camera and forgot about it for weeks. I picked up the camera to grab some backyard photos of my pups. The camera's ISO was set to 100 and I presumed it was BW film. When I finished the roll and unloaded the ...

Re: D-23 Divided
Thanks Steve. I'll give it a try. Would the developing time for the Dalzell Variation be about the same ~3+3? I did try a variation stated as TD-201 in The Film Developing Cookbook but was not as impressed. I read in The Film Developing Cookbook about adding Sodium Chloride to D-23. Do you have any ...

Re: D-23 Divided
Recently I have been experimenting with Divided D-23 and find myself drawn more to it than some of my other long-time choices for some of my images.I have noticed the increase in fog noted in The Darkroom Cookbook. I do have Potassium Bromide on hand and can try it as a fog preventer in the first ba...

Re: D11 at wrong dilution
I have tried D11 without much success. A fellow by the name of Jens Osbahr published a paper back in 2007 titled "A Black And White Reversal Process-In Memory Of Scala" which I have been using successfully for a number of years. Ive processed quite a number of film types from the original ...
